Maka Maka 2019
The evening of August 15th a total of about 575 racers in which 22 of them Widmer staff, enjoyed the beautiful weather as they walked or ran for Friendship House.
It was the biggest employee turnout yet and the team celebrated with custom team shirts celebrating their “commercial design know-how” with the fun Hawaiian theme of Maui Jim. The Geeky Tikis adorned with leis and flowers came together for a fun Post Race Party and enjoy Double A’s Pizza, beverages, a raffle, silent auction and a concert featuring Mike & Joe.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Peoria Friendship House, which has been providing services near the North side of Peoria for over 60 years. The mission of the Peoria Friendship House is to do the work of Jesus Christ, providing relief, respect, and renewal to Peoria’s most vulnerable individuals and families. Through the simple gesture of a free meal, a clean shirt, or a safe place to learn, Friendship House offers the hope of a new start to the least, the last, and the lost. The Peoria Friendship House is also a home away from home for many people that are less fortunate.
It’s been a long standing tradition of Widmer participation and as a company will continue to participate for such a great cause.

Hmm it looks like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any points for rookie blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.| а
