We need your help!

As you know by now, Widmer Interiors works with many businesses to create custom workspaces that fit their needs.  But what you may not know is that they also want to work with nonprofit organizations. The trouble is, most nonprofits never can find it in their budget to allocate funds for new furniture.  Their funds primarily go to help run the day to day for their group and their employees.  We know that their work is specifically for the good of a cause or group of people and can make such a difference.

Think about the last time you visited a local nonprofit.  Do you remember the office chairs, the desks, maybe even the waiting room? Did you notice maybe the furniture looking a little worse for wear, aged, maybe broken? That’s because many of these nonprofits use furniture that is donated to them or cost very little.

This is why we decided to work with HON Furniture Company to help recognize a local nonprofit that needs new furniture.  Our mission and values want us to “impact our communities…because people matter.” What better way to do that than by helping those who help others? We also believe that “everyone deserves a good chair.” Those councilors who sit 8 hours a day in a 30-year-old office chair, who make an impact in helping local kids.  Or those assistants who have to balance their computer screen on a box while helping a single mom find affordable housing…you can see these needs everywhere.

This year, we are targeting those organizations in the Champaign area. But we need your help! Let us know who in the community that could use new furniture.  We don’t know until we get the nomination form in that they need help.  So please spread the word, as the application period ends May 31st!
